Abbotford Guest House is situated centrally, a comfortable 15 minute walk from Princes' Street in a quiet street opposite Pilrig Park. Getting around Edinburgh couldn't be easier – either on foot or by using the excellent bus service. If you are using your car, there is free parking just outside the house.

By Plane...
On arrival at Edinburgh Airport you can take the airport bus to Waverley train station, and then a taxi costing about £4. A taxi direct from the airport will cost about £17 - £20.
By Train...
You can travel directly to Edinburgh Waverly from London, Plymouth, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and many other cities and towns. For information click on GNER and Virgin Trains The Abbotsford Guest House is only a 15 - 20 minute walk from the station, or a 5 minute cab ride.
By Car (or on foot)...
Starting from the East End of Edinburgh's most famous Princes Street, (The Waterloo Place end), head down on the A900 which is signposted for Leith. You will come to a large roundabout and you will then need to carry straight on (leaving by the second exit on you left). At this point you should pass the Playhouse Theatre on your RHS. You will then reach a second roundabout and again head straight on. Continue downhill, on Leith Walk for about ten minutes and you will find our street (Pilrig Street) to be the 3rd major street on your LHS with traffic lights. Do also look out for the large church. We are then located just about 400m down this road on the LHS.
